As we continue to create breakthroughs at the forefront of technology, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to provide functional support to the Business Development unit, in order to facilitate the delivery of ANGOKA’s business objectives. Reporting directly to the Chairman, you will play an integral role in expanding ANGOKA’s commercial presence and supporting our strategic growth. You will contribute to building our client portfolio and developing partnerships, and will use your skillset to help qualify, engage and close clients.

What you will do:

  • Attend client meetings to understand their requirements in order to respond effectively with tailored proposals or to fulfil tender submissions
  • Nurture and build upon existing key client accounts
  • Support the sales cycle from qualifying prospects through to closures, whilst ensuring KPIs and targets are met
  • Communicate new product developments to prospective clients
  • Review clients’ feedback and implement necessary changes
  • Execute market research and analysis and prepare findings for the Senior team
  • Provide functional support to arrange meetings and other supporting correspondence and material that aligns business objectives
  • Provide support in organising, attending and participating in networking events, conferences and other promotional activities
  • Support in building materials, content and other collateral that showcase our solution
  • Execute market research and analysis and prepare findings for the Senior team
  • Attend and represent ANGOKA at national and international events

What we are looking for:

  • At least 3 years’ experience Business Development or Sales experience, or experience in a related field
  • An ambitious self-starter with the desire to grow in an exciting industry
  • Excellent organisational skills, and a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with strong English language skills
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field (or equivalent)
  • Solid problem-solving skills, with discretion and sound judgement
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and the confidence to engage with a variety of clients and partners
  • Proficiency in CRM software and systems, or the ability to grasp a variety of platforms and systems quickly
  • An analytical mind, with the ability to think strategically and demonstrate proactive problem solving
  • National and international travel will be involved
