December 18, 2020

As this year is wrapping up, we at ANGOKA would like to share a quick retrospective on 2020, as well as mention a few exciting prospects on the horizon.
Though 2020 certainly was a year of unexpected twists and turns, our team adapted remarkably to the restrictions brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. ANGOKA was selected for and began working on two BT-led projects: AirQKD and Project Xcelerate.
We participated in several programmes, including Seraphim Space Camp, TechNation Cyber 2.0, Yes!Delft and 5PRING Transport Incubator. ANGOKA was also the first Northern Irish startup to be selected for NCSC’s Cyber Accelerator.
Most recently, we were also one of five startups chosen for Zenzic’s CAM Scale-Up Programme. In addition to the opportunity to test and validate our solutions in the various CAM Testbed UK facilities, the programme also grants each winner a share of a £500,000 award.
We were also recognised for our innovative solutions throughout the year. We were listed as #2 and #4, respectively, in techUK’s Cyber Security Company listing and in NI’s Top 50 Tech Companies. Digital DNA also named us Runner Up Start Up of the Year, and listed us in their ‘50 Top NI Companies You Need to Know!’ (see page 15) feature.
We also established a presence at Innovation Martlesham, located at BT’s Adastral Park.
Finally, we participated in a number of (virtual) pitches and events, including Wharton Angels Pitch, the Singapore Europe Innovation Partnership Forum, the Seraphim Pitch, Japan Automotive Cyber Pitch and SFFxSWITCH.
In 2021, we hope to further establish ourselves in The Netherlands, as well as in Singapore. We are already planning to participate in events in the UK, Japan and elsewhere around the world. Despite the global pandemic, we are pleased with our continued innovations, and look forward to the opportunities that 2021 will bring us.
